The Myelinated Fiber Diameter Size Frequency Distributien in the Fibular Nerves of the Rabbits

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to study the characteristics of myelinated fiber size frequency distribution of the fibular nerves in rabbits. 3 specimen were Japanese ehite, 2 were mixed breed in Korea. The ages were from 17 month to 20 month body weight were over 2kg. The rabbits had a¡Æ good condition at that time. The specimen were taken on 2 cm length from entrance point crural muscle to distal region. Thus 2 specimen were taken from the right and left fibular nerves in each rabbits and total were 10 specimens. For the study of myelinated fibers, these nerves mere fixed Fleming¡¯s fluid and cross-sectional of 6 micra were made. The sections were stained by wolter¢¥s modification of weigert pal¢¥s method.
Micro photo graphs were taken size, and the diameter fibular, were measured by the scale devised from transparent perspex plate. This experiment showing frequency distribution of total number of myelinated fiber, diameter size groups, and total cross-sectional areas in right and left fibular nerves of rabbits. The characteristics appeared follows.
1. The total number of myelinated fibers in right fibular nerves showed; The mean valus and S. D. were 3,023¡¾682, the cross-sectional areas mean value and S. D. were 161,741¡¾6,385 cubic micra.
2. The total numbers of myelinated fibers spewed in left fibular nerves. The mean value and S. D. were 2,786¡¾602, the cross-sectional areas mean value and S. D. wers 133,417¡¾6,181. cubic micra.
3. It¢¥s characteristics appeared, more right than left for, total numbers of nlyel mated fiber and total cross-sectional areas in fibular nerves of rabbits.
4. Modal size groups were between 4-6 micron groups, its mean and-S.D. were 621¡¾117 in right fibularr nerves, and left were 580¡¾,113.
5. The cross-sectional areas modal groups were between 10-14 micra it taken possession 36.62% in total areas of right and left fibular nerves.
